Bob Nicoll

Bob’s brief includes just about every top entertainment organization, network and U.S. government agency around; from artist to board advisor to director of World Wide Training.
His CG production experience started in the early 80’s spanning broadcast, film and games. Bob has held many roles including; CG production artist, compositor, art director, designer and teacher.
Additionally Bob has been a faculty member at several universities. Whilst a working member of the entertainment industry he has taken time to sit on several university advisory boards to help steer them towards greater success. Likewise, as a member of VES, Bob was asked to participate on the VES industry advisory board and then elected as a member of the VES board of directors. Bob has always placed great importance in sharing and giving back to the communities he is passionate about.
Bob’s current role is at Blizzard Academy and allows him to speak to his passion “learn and grow”, which not coincidently is one of Blizzards core value. “I understand that studios need to continuously grow and refresh their creative pool, that a commitment to creative inspiration and life-long learning is always associated with success”.
Bob has presented at many industry seminars panels and talks, from Siggraph through GDC spanning, across all of the Americas, Europe and Asia… and now New Zealand ☺
