AnimfxNZ – back with a bang!
17 September 2009
AnimfxNZ is back with a bang in November 2009 and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever.
Kicking off on Guy Fawkes night we’re building on the success of last year’s event after listening to all the positive feedback from those who came along and participated in AnimfxNZ 08.
Hosted one again in Wellington, New Zealand – the international hub for the special effects industry – we’re bringing together an outstanding line-up of speakers covering the latest advancements in gaming, special effects and digital technology. We’re also going to provide some not-so creative but really important ‘business’ advice from experienced professionals on things like: how to pitch and close deals without compromising the integrity of your work. And we’re running workshops especially for those budding young digital creatives – yes, a kids’ class!
Read some of the comments from last year’s event and get in quick to secure your place at thee animation and special effects industry event of of 2009.

“AnimfxNZ was a fantastic experience, very inspiring. The quality of everyone’s creative motivation and the generosity with which they shared themselves was awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed the people I met, both the speakers and the attendees.”
Patrick von Sychowski/ COO Adlabs India – Reliance Capital
“AnimfxNZ proves that people will travel to the far ends of the earth (AKA New Zealand) for one of the greatest confabs leading industry professionals, sharing their thoughts and experiences from the cutting edge of digital cinema, 3D, VFX, animation, games and more. After Peter Jackson, AnimfxNZ has done the most to put New Zealand on the map as a world-class centre of media excellence and entertainment technology understanding.”
Steve Schklair/ Founder 3ality Digital
“I absolutely loved the conference and all the people. It’s odd that with all of the conferences I speak at, this one will stand out. We were only together for 3 or 4 days, yet I feel as if I know you and many of the people there much better than that. Everyone was so nice…. I hope to return soon to make a film there.”
David McLaughlin/ Principal – McLaughlin Law
“I want to say how great Animfx was. I was quite blown away by the caliber of the speakers and how frank they were in their presentations. I also made some good contacts.”
Harrison Ellenshaw, visual effects artist and designer
“It was such a true pleasure to travel to Wellington as a presenter for AnimFX. I met so many wonderful and talented people and even learned more than I could ever have imagined. Many thanks to the organizers and supporters for making me feel so welcome.”
And if you have any questions contact us or leave a comment and we’ll get back to you before you know it.
